Islam Food

Islam Food is restaurant serving Islamic food in Kowloon City, at where many good non-Chinese restaurants are located. Recently, a branch was opened nearby and food served tastes similar to that served in the main store, so foodies do not have to wait in a long queue.

Beef cold cut: Consisting of beef shank, beef tongue, beef  gelatin and beef stomach, this appetizer makes a good starter.

Curry brisket: Not as fatty as that served in other restaurants, this curry dish is of Hainanese origin and is spicy and forms a delicious combination with spring onion pancakes.

Beef buns: The main dish of this restaurant. It is crispy outside and the minced beef is very juicy inside. I want to have another helping after having one. The juice is very hot so take it in small bites though it is tempting to take big ones.

Other dishes: The restaurant only serves Shanghainese food but most entrees taste so-so and there are lots of good Shanghainese restaurants out there...

  1. +1 on the point about the beef bun, definitely the best I've had

Overall, this place is not bad if you restrict yourself to ordering islam food only

  2. The beef buns look nice, as well as the beef-related starter. At least now I have a good option for having lunch/dinner whenever I'm around Kowloon City area.
